The layout at Chippewa verges on the spectacular, sculpted over gently rolling terrain, amongst water hazards and through scenic woodlands. The most difficult holes of the course are the 7th white and 9th gold. At par three, the 7th plays 200 yards from the back tees over water to a peninsula green surrounded by hazards on three sides. The 9th hole is a long par four at 423 yards and often plays into a wind. A slight dogleg right and a well-mounded fairway lead to a well-bunkered green.

Another hole to watch for is the 5th gold. A 312 yard, par four, it doglegs left. Your tee shot is played over a marsh area to a tree-lined fairway. The second shot provides the challenge as you look at placement on an elevated green that is both small and well-bunkered

Gentle rolling hills, mature trees, and water on 7 holes test golfer abilities & patience but add brief glimpses of abundant wildlife. The original Hills and Woods course was carved out of a dairy farm and opened in 1961 as ‘Windsor Park’. The Windsor family sold the course was in 1985 to the Sheppard family and in 1994 the Lakes course opened adding another nine holes with bent grass greens, bentgrass fairways and tees. In 2000 the course added a new 10,000 square foot clubhouse to host tournaments of up to 300 people, and with a separate members lounge.

Freedom Oaks has the Lake Erie breeze being a factor on every hole. The signature hole is the 8th, a par 3 island green that will require pinpoint accuracy, and the longest hole is the 16th, stretching 559 yards to a downward sloping green. Their most picturesque hole is the 15th, surrounded by majestic white pines with a perilous pond in front of the green. The licensed club house & patio overlooks the first tee, the 18th green and Lake Erie.

This club offers two regulation eighteen hole courses (the Old and the New courses). This club has played host to over 5000 successful tournaments and the 36 hole facility can accommodate up to 288 golfers at any given time. The Old Course began in 1967 as a 9 hole course, which over time became more treed and in 1970 grew to 18 holes. The New Course opened in 1989, next to the Old Course, and opened to the public for play in 1992.
